Garden Point is located
approximately 1 mile across the lake from the Dark Day Launch Ramp and 6 miles from the Cottage Creek Launch Ramp at the dam.
The campsites are
located above the high water line, on both sides of the point. Campers should
access the campground on the east side of the point as access from the west side is quite steep.
Reservoir water levels
drop through the summer camping season. As a result, the distance you have to
hike into the campground increases over the summer months. It is wise to take
this fact into account when planning what equipment to bring.
Each site has a fire
ring and a Klondike stove, the single
sites have 1 picnic table and the double sites have 2 picnic tables.
Reservations require
a two night minimum / three nights on holidays. Occupancy limits are strictly enforced by the U.S. Forest Service.
